St. Andrew's Calgary canoe trip

I have been a bit preoccupied with other projects, and left my favourite project on the side.  After reviewing my calendar for June, I would like to have Andychurch Outdoors events on Saturdays, June 3, 10, and 17.  The outing on June 3 needs to finish early enough for me to help set up and lead Pentecostal Wonder.  This will be the last community lunch before the summer and will begin set up at 5:30 pm in the Great Room at St. Andrew’s Centre.  Pentecostal Wonder will be a BBQ potluck family event beginning with a short program at 6:00 pm, followed by a pot luck BBQ supper, a sing along, and a games night.

People are asked to bring something to grill and a salad or a dessert.  Pentecost is June 4, so the program will have a Pentecost theme.  To celebrate Pentecost and summer, the sing along will feature camp songs and finish with a marshmallow roast on the BBQ.  Bring your favourite game for the Games Night.  We will ensure we have several decks of playing cards and at least 2 crib boards.

The outdoor event will be  a hike or bike beginning at South Glenmore Park.  The hike would be to the Weasel Head and back.  The bike would be a circuit of Glenmore Reservoir.  The timing will depend on feedback to me (revjim@andychurch.org), but I am thinking about 11:00 am.  This will also be a time to scope out the dock area for canoeing on another day.  I would also like to make it a picnic day before we head out.

To free up my time to do this, I plan not to come into the office most Tuesdays and Thursdays, and will be available in the office most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the mornings.
