Update: Thanks to all who donated to our charities to help the homeless or those who are at risk of becoming homeless. We had 7 walkers for our walk along the river at Eau Claire on Feb. 25 and raised over $1400 for our helping the charities Bankview Apartments, Feed the Hungry and the Mustard Seed. (All of Calgary raised over $100,000.) The group is taking donations until the end of March by cheque or online at cnoy.org/Calgary.
Previously Published on February 12: Join our team “Deer Park & St. Andrew’s UC A Team” in support of these important Calgary programs: Bankview Apartments, Feed the Hungry and The Mustard Seed.
You can register to walk and donate at www.coldestnightoftheyear.org or you can put a donation in the offering plate with a cheque made out to Coldest Night of the Year.
In 2016 Deer Park & St. Andrew’s walkers raised $1780 and all of Calgary raised over $125,000. Let’s aim to increase that total in 2017!
The 5 km and 2 km walks begin at Eau Claire at 5:30 PM. on Saturday, February 25. A free chili supper will be served after the walk. We will meet at St. Andrew’s Centre, 1-10601 Southport Rd SW at 4:45 PM to carpool downtown. For further details see the website above, or contact: Don Stiles
