St. Andrew’s anticipates the coming of Christmas with much exuberance, joining with others to celebrate.  A few of December’s events in photos below:

•  We joined with our partner, Calgary Downs Syndrome Association, to welcome the CPR Holiday Train to Calgary in support of Calgary’s Inter-Faith Food Bank on December 11.  About 75 folks came together for a chili and hot dog meal at St. Andrew’s Centre and then headed over to the Anderson C-Train station for the beautifully lit train’s arrival and concert. Thank you to all who were part of the evening: Ups and Downs Teens and Young Adults, Ups and Downs volunteers and Deer Park and St. Andrew’s Church volunteers.

Sunday morning’s Christmas Pageant with Deer Park Church happened on Sunday, December 13. The whole pageant will be presented again on Christmas Eve at 5 pm.

• St. Andrew’s Coffee House presented Marie Lewin and Friends for a night of festive carols as well as good food and beverages from the Willow Park Merchants.

• More than 70 youth and their leaders participated in the St. Andrew’s Regional Youth Ministries Christmas Retreat at Red Deer Lake United Church, December 18-20.
