BestCloset BestCloset1Regional Youth are volunteering monthly at My Best Friend’s Closet. My Best Friend’s Closet is a new program for Making Changes Employment Association that provides teenage girls from low-income homes (ages 12-18) with a broad selection of fashionable and functional clothing for school and recreational needs.
In November, members of Woodcliff, St. Andrew’s and Wildrose United Churches youth groups volunteered on a Tuesday night. Each month, six youth can volunteer at a time.
For December, our Calgary youth are holding a clothing drive for My Best Friend’s Closet. Useful items include: cute and functional winter jackets, boots, leggings, jeans, etc. Items will be brought to the December 19th Naked Faith Worship Service at Wild Rose United and will then be taken to Making Changes.
Making Changes is a partner of St. Andrew’s Regional Ministry. Part of the philosophy of Regional Ministry is “Shared ministries building new community connections.”
